For about a year, my blog lived on Hashnode, but I never saw the SEO results I was hoping for. At the same time, my Substack was quietly gaining subscribers without any advertising. So I decided to take back full control, and go self-hosted again.

Ghost CMS has been a dream to use so far. The writing workflow feels effortless, the SEO foundation is strong out of the box, and newsletters and RSS are built in. I plan to keep the blog non-paywalled, though I’m considering optional paid memberships to help cover hosting costs. Would you pay for it and if yes, how much? Let me know!

Murat Çorlu, founder of Synaps Media, and his team made the move incredibly smooth. Murat handled the technical setup, listened to what I wanted from the blog, and gave me some great advices that helped me setting the blog up. I also used Codex to help me with the blog design.

This post is my thank-you to Murat and the Synaps Media team for helping my blog find its new home. If you’re planning a similar move, I’d happily recommend them.
